Hello,

I’m a father, husband, son and brother, with a passion for technology and a curiosity that has taken me into a diverse set of interests outside the day job. Professionally, I’m a business leader and entrepreneur who has worked in the technology, media and entertainment industry for 20 years.

I run an AI agency that delivers AI based automations for enterprises. Before this, I led the global sports business of the All Blacks, Black Ferns and other Teams in Black, had 7 years at Google, where I led Strategy and Operations, for Google’s business in the UK & Ireland, and also for a spell in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, and 16 years at Accenture where I led sales across the Communications, Media and Technology vertical in EMEA and LATAM.

Outside this, I am an author, angel investor and advisor to several start-ups, and founded my own record label to give creatives from less privileged backgrounds their start in music and film, along with a blockchain services company designed to tackle the emerging issue of securities law compliance.

I grew up in New Zealand and, with sons in the UK, roots in France, and business interests in Europe and the US, my wife and I split our time between both hemispheres.

My ‘Why'

I am passionate about building things or changing things, ideally both, and I like to do this using the power of technology.

"Having grown up in splendid isolation at the the bottom of the world, pre internet, everything we take for granted today is still like magic to me..."

“Despite great academic success the best education I’ve ever had was working as a barman and waiter for 5 years. It refined my people skills, taught me the operational process and how to be in service of others. I would call it the University of Life. ”

My Book: Playful Curiosity

“Education is broken; here's an alternative.”

Brilliant teachers are constrained by rails that were laid post industrial revolution to prepare us for a world that has already passed.

We are flying a supersonic jet facing backwards.

Playful Curiosity is a provocative manifesto for reinventing education.
